Peter Johnson Financial Services was founded in 2000, but the work started much earlier, and for reasons that were personal long before they were professional.

In 1988, Peter's father passed away. His mother had a financial advisor at the time, but when the moment came that truly mattered, that advisor wasn't ready for it. The coverage wasn't right. The planning hadn't gone far enough. And as a result, she had to keep working through her grief rather than having the support she needed.

Peter saw what it looked like when someone in a position of trust didn't show up. So he stepped in to help his mother himself, and never really stopped. He has been doing this work since 1989, motivated by exactly that experience.

How We Approach the Work

We believe that good financial guidance starts with understanding you, not presenting you with a set of predetermined solutions. Before anything else, we want to know what you have, what you need, and what matters most to you and your family.

We also believe you should understand what we're doing and why. We take time to explain things clearly, without the jargon, so you can make decisions with confidence. This isn't about simplifying things for the sake of it. It's about making sure the plan we build together is actually yours.

Many of the people we work with have families they want to provide for, legacies they want to leave, and questions they haven't always known who to ask.
